Before we root ourselves in Earth, Water, Fire, and Air, we look to the Cosmos—the original ancestor, the infinite Blackness, the source of all breath and becoming. Guiding us into this sacred beginning is writer, scholar, and oracle Alexis Pauline Gumbs, who will offer a celestial meditation on the Earth as a post-menopausal being—fertile with wisdom, vibrating with memory, and querying the very notion of time, gender, and transformation. From the vastness of the Menopausal Multiverse to the interspecies lessons hidden in coral reefs, whales, and soil, Alexis will help us stretch beyond the boundaries of the body and into the possibilities of kinship, becoming, and cosmic care. This is not just an opening. It is a portal. Following Alexis’ offering, we will gather our collective voices in ritual.
