Abolition and Menopause Salon
This salon will be an informal 90-minute, open-space, self-facilitated salon for conference participants and community members who want to explore the role of prison abolition in our shared pursuit of reproductive and healing justice.
Objectives for our salon:
Why abolition is essential to any vision of reproductive, climate, and health justice, and the menopause experience
How we support currently incarcerated and system-impacted menopausal people
The connections between bodily autonomy, carceral harm, and community care
And the possibility of forming a post-conference working group to carry this conversation forward
